Thai Basil Beef

What you Need

Cutting Board and Carving Knife

Whisk

Skillet (Frying Pan)

1 pound hamburger (ground beef)

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced lengthwise

1 large onion, wedged

6 cloves (~2 tablespoons) garlic, minced

1 cup fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped

Sauce

2 tablespon chili paste

2 tablespoons soy suace

1 tablespoon fish sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons lime juice

What to Do

In a small bowl, whisk all sauce ingredients together; set aside.
Brown hamburger, with minced garlic in frying pan on medium heat (drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat before proceeding).
Add prepared pepper, onion and basil. (reserve some basil for garnish, if you wish)
Stir and cook until vegetables soften.
Add sauce, mix well, let bubble up, remove from heat; serve immediately, top with basil garnish, if you wish.
