Midwest Fish Boil

What you Need

Cutting Board and Carving Knife
Kettle
Slotted Spoon
Colander

1 pound cod filets, cut into chunks (~3-inch)

1 pound red potatoes, cubed

½ pound carrots (~3), sliced

1 medium onion, wedged

1 tablespoon salt

½ tablespoon seafood seasoning (in cheesecloth or muslin sachet or tea ball infuser)

4 tablespoons butter, melted

What to do

What to Do

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil on high heat.
Add potatoes, carrots, salt and seasoning sachet to the water; boil ~10 minutes, until potatoes and carrots are tender.
Add fish and continue to boil ~5 minutes, until fish flakes with a fork
Drain all in a colander; discard seasoning sachet.
Serve family style or plated; pour melted butter over all.
Potatoes and carrots may be cut in larger pieces, if you wish; simply adjust boiling time until vegetables are tender.
